2009年の「東京下町の路面電車モジュール 其の１」、2014年の「東京下町の路面電車モジュール 其の２」以来、運河沿いの町家の街並を制作していませんでしたが、約10年ぶりに小型レイアウトで制作した前作「東京下町 伍福屋町」（2024年）に続く作品です。　20世紀初めころ（明治末期〜大正〜昭和初期 ころ）の、東京の架空の下町の繁華街を場面設定としています。（Nゲージ、S＝１／150 スケール） 　 タイトルの「陸」は漢数字「六」の旧字体です。「六花」を旧字体で表すと「陸華」となります。　「六花」は、雪の結晶の多くが六角形をしていることから、雪や雪の結晶の異称、冬の季語で、「むつのはな」とも読むのだそうです。

Since the 2009 work “Tokyo Downtown Tramway Module No. 1“ and the 2014 work “Tokyo Downtown Tramway Module No. 2“, I had not created any streetscapes of traditional merchant houses along a canal. This work follows my previous work, “Tokyo Downtown, Gofukuya-cho“ (2024), which I created as a small-scale layout after an interval of approximately ten years.

The setting is a fictional downtown commercial district in Tokyo, around the beginning of the 20th century, spanning roughly from the late Meiji period through the Taisho period to the early Showa period.
(N scale, S = 1/150 scale.)

The character 「陸」 in the title is the old form of the Chinese numeral 「六」. Written in the old form, 「六花」 becomes 「陸華」.

「六花」 refers to snow or snow crystals, particularly because many snow crystals have a hexagonal shape. It is also a seasonal term associated with winter, and is said to be read “mutsu no hana.”

• The buildings, railway bridge, reinforced-concrete bridge, and brickwork tunnel entrance are all fully scratch-built from my original designs. The parts were produced using a laser cutter, based on original CAD data.

• Some commercially manufactured materials are used for items such as roof tiles, street lamps, and utility poles.
